End-to-end encryption

What you write is encrypted in your browser with a key derived from your password. Everything that syncs between your devices, and everything the server stores, is ciphertext it has no key for. The trade-off is absolute: there is no password reset and no recovery, lose the password and the writing is gone.

Titles, folder names, images and metadata are encrypted with the same key. The server can see how much you have written and when, but not what any of it says.
